2020-21 Coaching Staff

Dave McIntosh-Head Coach (2nd Year--5th Overall)

Dave enters his 2nd year as the Head Coach of the Tigers after previously leading the Mountain View Lady Thunder program for 3 seasons where he was named the 2017 3A GSHL Coach of the Year.  In his 1st year as the Head Coach at Mountain View High School, the team finished tied for 2nd place in league, made it to the Bi-District tournament for the first time in what is believed to be 15-16 years, and came 1-win away from qualifying for State Regionals.  After taking over the Battle Ground program last season, Coach McIntosh sees a lot of promise for the future of the program with some solid young talent.

Dave has been involved with coaching basketball around Clark County since he moved here in 2003, but also led boys and girls AAU basketball teams in the late 90s and a Freshman High School Boys team in Moscow, ID prior to arriving to the area.  Upon his arrival to the Portland/Vancouver area, Dave had a brief stint as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Concordia Women's Basketball team and then spent a season as a Boys Assistant Coach at Catlin Gabel High School in Portland.  He spent 3 years as an Assistant Coach with the Prairie boys programs where the team made 3 trips to State, including an 8th place finish and a school record in wins in 2005, along with a 7th place finish in 2007.  Dave later made the switch to girls basketball when he joined the Evergreen staff in 2010 for 3 seasons.  During the 2010-11 season, the team made it's first trip to State in 22 years.  After his stint at Evergreen he joined the Fort Vancouver girls basketball program with their new staff.  Soon after, he was asked to join their boys staff and posted a record number of wins with a 17-3 record as the JV coach.

Dave is a certified USA Basketball Youth Development coach and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in History from Washington State University in 2003, a Master's Degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University in 2014, and is currently working on his Administrator's Certification through Eastern Washington University.  He is currently a Special Education Math Teacher and Administrative Intern at Heritage High School.
